Ghana National Airbadminton Teams

The Pathway for Ghana Air Badminton

Air Badminton operates on an annual competition structure, providing regular opportunities for international competition.

At the top level, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) sanctions world-level Air Badminton events, which Ghana Hosted 2025 African Championships

Below this, the Badminton Confederation of Africa (BCA) organizes continental competitions, including the African Championships for Seniors and age groups

Ghana Badminton aims to field teams in these BCA competitions and will seek to qualify athletes for BWF events as our players develop on the international stage.

World Cup Qualification

Air Badminton is a new and exciting discipline, and the Ghana Badminton Federation actively supports its development. The BWF is pursuing the inclusion of Air Badminton in future Olympic Games.

Should Air Badminton become an Olympic sport, qualification pathways will be determined by the BWF in conjunction with the International Olympic Committee. Ghanaian athletes would then compete as part of Team Ghana.
