2029 New Home for Ghana Badminton:
National Training Centre

Ghana Badminton is proud to announce the development of a new, purpose-built National Training Centre, scheduled for completion in 2029. This world-class facility will be the first of its kind in the nation, dedicated to the year-round development of badminton at all levels.

The Centre will be established in partnership with a leading academic institution in Accra, creating a hub that will nurture the sporting stars of the future. This initiative will provide unparalleled benefits to our national team athletes, students, and the wider community.

The facility will feature multiple indoor courts with international-standard flooring and lighting, allowing Ghana’s elite and aspiring athletes to train at the highest level regardless of the season. The integrated model with a university will also provide athletes with the opportunity to pursue academic studies alongside their sporting careers.

Beyond daily training, the National Training Centre will serve as the premier venue for local and national tournaments, coaching clinics, and international events, solidifying Ghana’s place on the global badminton map.

This landmark project is a cornerstone of our “Rally Ghana 2029” strategy, designed to create a lasting legacy for the sport by providing a dedicated home where champions are made.
